How Credit System Works

For every hour you put into volunteering, you’ll get 1 credit hour to your account. As you rack up credits, you’ll move through the TerraGood Tier System. Credits are calculated on a 6-month rolling average, so if you stop volunteering, your average will decrease and you’ll move back to a lower tier.
To get you started - TG gives you .25 hours just for signing up and will continue to give you a .25 credit hour consistency bonus for every consecutive month you volunteer. That means if you are consistent, we’ll give you an extra 1.5 hours on top of what you earn!

How Tier System Works

There are 3 tiers you can fall into based on the 6-month rolling average. Tier 3 (bottom tier), Tier 2 and Tier 1 (top tier). Tier 3 is where everyone starts and has access to the smaller deals. The more you volunteer, the more you move up. Tier 1 is reserved for the biggest volunteers and only they will have access to deals 60% off and above. Here’s a table to break it down for you:

Businesses Roles

So you want to thank community members for making a positive impact? Well, thank you! TerraGood is the only app where you can customize deals from your business for locals to purchase. And not just any local, we’re focused on those who are volunteering their time in the community. When the business side of TG launches, you’ll be able to choose from a pre-fixed discount or customize your own.
In short, as a business, you’ll be able to support volunteer efforts by offering exclusive deals based on the time they put into the community. The more they volunteer, the more deals they’ll have access to! When they become a top-tier volunteer, they’ll have access to all available deals, especially the big ones!

Volunteer FAQ’s

Q : How does a volunteer receive hours earned?

Check In and Out of the events you’ve been approved for and volunteered at. Credit will automatically upload to your account upon checkout. You’ll be prompted before the event with a reminder to check in!

Q : What if I volunteer for an event but am not a user of the TerraGood platform?

Thank you for volunteering! Unfortunately, if you are not registered with the TerraGood platform, we have no way of sending you hours. Sign up and register for your next volunteer opportunity!

Q : How do I purchase a deal with my hours?

The hours are a metric to calculate your tier position. The total number of hours (on a 6-month rolling average) you have will open up different tiers of deals. The more you volunteer, the better the deals that open up. When you see a deal you want within your tier, select purchase and checkout like any other app.

Q : How do I know what tier I’m in?

Under the profile tab you will see your tier listed at the top.

Q : There’s a deal I want, but I can’t add it to my cart - whats up?

This deal is outside of your tier level. You’ll only be able to access deals based on your tier - the more you volunteer, the higher you rank, the more deals that open up.

Organization FAQ’s

Q : What is an organization?

Organizations are non-profits and other groups that are looking for volunteers.

Q : How do I sign our organization up for an account?

ou’ll need a phone number with text capabilities initially (for security code purposes), an email address and password. Upon registering your organization, you’ll be put on an approval list which could take up to 48 hours but more than likely, less. You’ll be notified once approved. Then you’ll be able to update your profile, setup events and approve volunteers.
Once you’re registered, you’ll only need your username and password to login so be careful who you share this information with!

Q : How do I setup an event?

Once logged in, select Events > Create New Event. From here, you can upload up to 6 event photos, describe the event, volunteer tasks, location, etc. The # of rewarded hours will auto-populate based on event time. From your profile, you’ll be able to review your event history and active events. You can even make updates to existing events as needed.

Q : How do I approve volunteers?

You’ll receive a notification when a volunteer requests to join your event. From your profile > Active Events > More Details and you’ll see tabs at the top for requests and volunteers. Once you select approve, your request moves to the volunteer tab and they receive a notification that you’ve accepted them.

Buiness FAQ’s

Q : How do I sign our business up for an account?

Q : How do I close my account?

We hope you’ve thought long and hard about this! If you’re sure you want to cancel your account and lose all volunteer history, hours earned, or sponsor/organization-related information, send an email to help@terragood.com and we’ll get on it.
